Apartment Review for The Preserve At The Meadows - Fort Collins, CO

We've lived here for a year and the apartments aren't bad but they are far from "luxury". There are definitely pros and cons. Some Pros: `Facilities are nice and the staff is always very helpful! `pool area is nice, for the most part its not crowded unless someone throws a party.. only bad thing is its not open past 10. `The grounds are well cared for. `Apartments and carpets are clean when you move in. `Lots of room to move and kitchens have a nice amount of cabinet space! `They will let you hang items on walls as long as you make sure things are patched back up upon moveout. `Washers and dryers are in good shape, newer. `Patios are nice sized and relatively private. Cons: `Can be noisy depending on your neighbors, we can hear the people above us walking but other than that its not too bad. `Insulation wasn't done right, so in order to heat or cool the bedrooms the main room will be roasting/ or super cold. `Cant have comcast, so youre stuck with dtv and quest, or dish. `the layouts are bizarre in some apartments (diagonal walls), so the storage space is limited. `BUGS! I swear I have had to take care of more earwigs, beetles and spiders since we moved in here than anywhere else in foco. A friend said its because of the drainage creek that runs next to us, but still. `We can smell smoke from our downstairs neighbors, probably comes up through the air vents. `The Kitchen appliances aren't "Luxury" quality. They are well maintained but they are just your standard white, run of the mill appliances. Overall these are some of the nicer apartments in fort collins, but they are far from perfect.
