Apartment Review for Somerset Apartments - Fort Collins, CO

I have to give a poor review of my experience at Somerset. We recently lived there for one year. They may be one of the cheapest and nicest places to live. But be careful, There are so many traps in the contract that will take your entire deposit away at the end of your stay, no mater how you take care of the place. The Parking at Somerset apartments is extemely poor. After coming home at 9pm on certain nights, be prepared to park across the street at the shopping center parking lots. Even though you place any complaint regarding the parking, They will be ignored. If you are handicap, you will also be ignored, I saw a blind man get hurt several times and when he complains about it, they ignored him and did absolutely nothing to remedy this issue. Their office manager takes up 2-3 parking spaces with just one over-sized car. They are totally unfair and don't think twice about their customers/residents... The pool and sauna is not properly maintained and half of the time during our stay they are broken or unusable. The machines in the Laundry room barely works and has been known to take money from many residents. There is nothing that the residents can do to retrieve their lost money. The maintenance and office workers will walk into your apartment without any notice. They did 3 times to our knowledge. Once my wife was taking a shower and had to expose herself in front of the intruder (the maintenance guy) to get rid of him. They are holding our deposit for several months now and always come up with conflicting excuses with us so they would think that we will give up on deposit money which is minimal since they took so much from it for small minor detail items which was found in the small text in the contract... READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY. If you did, you probably look elsewhere.
